When you leave the Baggage Claim, exit through the double sliding glass doors toward the street.  Cross the street into the center island.  You will see signs directing you to Airport/Hotel Shuttle or Cabs.  The Hotel Shuttle arrives every 20 minutes and will take you to any and all the major hotels in Waikiki.  The Hilton Hawaiian Village will be one of the first stops.  This Shuttle is $9 per one way trip.  The Shuttle drops you off in the Hilton Bus Depot and a 2-3 minute walk gets you to the main lobby.  From the Depot, follow the signs to the main registration lobby.  You will walk through the Tapa Tower lounge and bar.  If you decide not to stop...past the bar, veer right and the walk will take you to the main lobby to register.

 If you would rather take a taxi to the hotel it will run you approximately $30 dollars one way.

 Seems like a easy decision to make, however if you want to save more money you can walk 10-15 minutes to the main highway (Nimitz) with your bags in 85-90 degree heat, find a city bus stop and for $2.50 one way, you can catch the #40 or #42 bus to Waikiki.  The Bus will drop you off in front of HHV and a quick 5 minute walk will get you to the front desk!  You will definitely be ready for a cold drink and a nap on the beach!
